Kebekelektrik is a bit of a tongue twister. It stands for Quebec Electric. War Dance was released on Salsoul in 1978. We don't think of Canada in connection with Salsoul, but the Canadian disco scene was ahead of its time and made heavy use of synths before many of the pioneering European synth acts.

It's no surprise that Ron Hardy would like this track, given its fast pace and heavily electronic sound. Ron Hardy was playing War Dance in the mid 80s at the Music Box.
