I'll House You By Jungle Brothers (1988)
I'll House You was a collaboration between Jungle Brothers and Todd Terry. This is the original version of I'll House You by Jungle Brothers.
Although I'll House You wasn't the first hip-house or house-rap record, this was the first time that a hip-hop act collaborated with a house artist. This collaboration happened by chance because they were releasing on Idlers Records. The collaboration was a suggestion of Tony D, the owner of Idlers Records.
The original release of I'll House You by Jungle Brothers was quite simple. It was a rap by Jungle Brothers on top of Can You Party by Royal House (Todd Terry) using some hip hop production techniques to remix it slightly. This could have been just a modest but interesting track that everyone quietly forgot about.

The words "house music all night long", in the rap of I'll house you, echo the lyrics of Move Your Body by Marshall Jefferson, which was sampled in Can You Party by Royal House. In Move Your Body, the track starts with the phrase "gotta have house music all night long", so the rap by Jungle Brothers appears to be a tribute and reference to Move Your Body.

By the time I'll House You was released, the UK was well into house music mania, and there were several great producers making house music in the UK at the time. Idlers Records licensed the track to Gee Street Records in the UK, for release in the UK market. Richie Rich had recently had a hit with Salsa House, and he was enlisted by Gee Street Records to remix I'll House You. His remix takes Todd Terry's original production and somehow makes it bigger. Richie Rich likely just overdubbed the chords, but the bigger sound made the Richie Rich version the one that everyone played, cementing Britain's reputation as the newest member of the axis of evil house music.
